Remember to come out tomorrow where a CDA representative will be talking about access to care, healthcare reform, and the controversial topic of mid-level providers. - Become a member of ADPAC –> What is ADPAC? It is the political action committee of dentistry. They are responsible for helping elect congressional leaders (Rep or Dem) who are responsive to issues like student loan forgiveness and removing barriers to oral healthcare. By becoming a member of ADPAC, you are ensuring that your voice as students and future dentists are taken seriously!

- Taking sign-ups for disability and life insurance

Dental Olympics Next Week!

Have some pent-up energy from sitting in lecture/lab/clinic all day? Want to win a gift card to somewhere in Westwood and, if not, soak your best friend with a water balloon? The UCLA ASDA Olympic Committee, headed by Laura “L-Pash” Pashkowsky, will be hosting the Winter Field Olympics next week on Friday, March 9th! Come one, come all! Enter in individual events as well as class event.

Lobby Day Around the Corner!

ASDA Lobby Day, scheduled for April 16-17th in Washington, D.C., is approaching and applications are due on Saturday, February 11th at 10 pm! UCLA ASDA members will be joining hundreds of dental students from around the country in D.C. to lobby for issues facing the dental profession. If you are selected to attend the Lobby Day, we will need your help organizing campus events during Legislative We.

January 22nd, 2012

Applications for the Philanthropy Committee’s annual dental mission trips to Honduras will be due by Jan. 25, 5pm!!! If you plan on applying, please get them in soon! This is an amazing experience that will allow UCLA students to help people in an underserved country, gain experience with dental procedures, and brush up on your Spanish. The dates for this year’s mission trips will be J.
